Description: These are hand made earrings that were brought back from Costa Rica that I embellished and wore as part of my personal jewelry collection for a number of years. The ear wires are sterling silver but the earrings are of mixed metals. They have been tucked away in storage unworn at least 5 years. The coins are dated 1972 and 1976. There is a little bit of braided copper wire in conduit -- looks like leather -- running through the bottom hoops. 

Wear: Slight signs of wear are considered typical for authentic vintage pieces, such as light surface scratches or patina. This type of normal wear attests to an item's age and adds to its vintage charm and character.  Many "old stock" stones are now considered rare or hard to obtain because of their quality and/or origin.
